Danny Osborne passed away November 2, 2008

Danny R. Osborne, 55 of Fairborn, passed away at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday November 1, 2008 at Hospice of Dayton.

He was born on April 20, 1953 in Paintsville, Kentucky. Danny graduated from Park Hills High School in Fairborn, class of 1972 and then served in the United States Air Force in 1973.

Danny was an accomplished guitarist and enjoyed his children and grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his father, Charles Osborne; and his grandparents, Jessie and Bessie Osborne, Roy and Flossie Preston.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Gail (Adkins) Osborne; a daughter, Jessica Osborne; a son, Charles Osborne. He deeply loved his grandchildren, Andre and Mia. Also surviving are his mother, Zelphia (Deal) Blanton; a sister, Susie Stanley and husband Carey; brothers, Wayne Osborne and wife Lynda, Jesse Osborne and wife Carla. He also leaves behind a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to Dr. Cleanne Cass and all of the staff at Hospice of Dayton.

The family would also like to express a very special thank you to our faithful friends and family in whom Danny requested their assistance with his end of life caregiving, prayer, and special needs (especially strawberry milkshakes); Charlotte and Jim Tinglestad, Aunt Phyllis and Uncle Roger DeLong, Cazzie and Michael Osborne, Cheryl Gabbard, and especially David and Brenda Kempf for their hospitality and generosity. Emily Potchik and Alicia Kempf for donating time and love for childcare and emotional support, and Brenda Wolfe for her love across the miles.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday November 5, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Road, Fairborn, Pastor Jimmy Adkins officiating.
